Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions are entered into by and between Solo The Training Club Ltd. hereinafter: "Solo" and You hereinafter: “the Member”.

SERVICES

The membership entitles the usage of Solo facilities and the equipment and services available therein, as specified upon sign-up.

MEMBERSHIP

The membership is personal, and cannot be shared.

AGE LIMIT

The Member confirms that he/she is 18 years old or older. For persons 16 or 17 years old, exceptions are granted based on a written parental consent. Persons under 16 years of age must be supervised at all times.

HEALTH

The Member confirms that he/she does not suffer from health problems that would hinder exercise or prevent him/her from engaging in exercise, or that would be detrimental or adverse to The Member’s health, safety, or physical condition if he/she did exercise. In case of any doubt, The Member shall seek advice from a medical doctor who should confirm the ability to exercise. The Member is also required to inform Solo of any changes to their health or physical condition that may affect their ability to exercise safely during the course of their membership. Solo shall have no obligation to perform a fitness assessment or similar testing to determine The Member’s physical condition. Any assessment carried out at Solo is solely intended to determine how best to support The Member. It is not conducted for diagnostic or medical purposes.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

The Member is responsible for keeping their personal information, including but not limited to address, phone number, email address, emergency contact details, and any other relevant information, up to date with Solo. Any changes to this information must be provided in writing via email to team@solo-thetrainingclub.co.uk. Failure to update this information may result in communication delays or other issues that could affect the Member's participation in services or the safety of their participation.

LIABILITY

Each Member of Solo is responsible for any property damage or personal injury they cause on Solo premises. Members will only be liable for costs if the damage is caused through negligence or misuse. Proper use of equipment, will not result in any charge. Any costs arising from negligence or misuse will be invoiced to the Member upon presentation of a statement.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY

Any and all use of the Solo facilities shall be at The Member’s own risk at all times. Members should only use equipment they are familiar with or have been shown by a Solo team member. While Solo maintains all equipment to safety standards, use of the facilities is at the Member’s own risk, and Solo cannot be held responsible for injuries resulting from improper use.

LOST PROPERTY OR THEFT

Solo does not take responsibility for loss or theft of any personal belongings. Any items left on Solo premises will be kept in lost property for The Member to collect.

CODE OF CONDUCT

The Member shall respect the behavioural and operating principles of Solo, as laid out in our code of conduct. If The Member behaves in a way that breaches the code of conduct, membership can be suspended or terminated at management’s sole discretion.

ACCESS AND SECURITY

Solo is open Monday to Thursday 7am-12pm and 4pm-8pm, Fridays 7am-12pm and 4pm-6pm, and Saturdays 8am – 12pm, with the exception of bank holidays and exceptional circumstances, when times may vary. Sessions and classes are available according to times stated in the Solo app.

SESSIONS AND CLASSES

Sessions and classes can be booked up to 1hr before the start time, except for the first session/class of the day which will need to be booked by 9pm the night before. The Member is permitted to attend a maximum of 1 each of A, B, and C Small Group Personal Training Sessions per week. If the Member attempts to attend more than 1 of each session in any given week, Solo will attempt to contact the Member and remove any non-permitted bookings. The Member is not permitted to book multiple sessions or classes of the same type on any given day (i.e. A maximum of 1 small group personal training session per day, 1 fitness class, 1 yoga class etc.). If the Member attempts to book multiple sessions or classes of the same type on any given day, Solo will attempt to contact the Member and remove any non-permitted bookings. The Member can cancel bookings up to 1hr before the start time, but will endeavour to give as much notice as possible.

PAYMENT

The Member has given approval for an automatic debit from his/her account or card and is responsible for the payment of the membership. Membership payments are collected automatically. If a payment is late, the Member will receive a reminder email from Solo. The app will automatically retry the payment until it is successfully processed. Membership access will not be suspended while a payment is pending or being retried, as long The Member is actively trying to resolve the issue. If a payment remains outstanding for more than 30 days, the Member will be in violation of the contract, and the total outstanding balance will become due. In such cases, Solo may refer the matter to a debt collector, which could incur additional fees.

GYM CLOSURES

Solo does not operate on bank holidays. No reimbursement will be given to The Member for planned bank holiday closures. The gym does not operate over the Christmas and New Year period. During this time, active memberships will continue, and a discount will be applied to the Member’s December membership payment. The discount will be calculated as a percentage based on the number of days the gym is closed on usual opening days during the month. In very rare and exceptional circumstances, the gym may not operate according to the usual timetable. Where practicable, at least 1 week’s notice will be given. PAUSING MEMBERSHIP

Pauses are intended for extended holidays, exceptional circumstances, exceptional illness, or if they have been advised by a medical professional to avoid all exercise. Solo can adapt all sessions and classes and provide additional support for most minor illness, injury, or temporary busy periods, so a pause is usually not required.

Requests to pause must be submitted by contacting Solo management at gemma@solo-thetrainingclub.co.uk with the reason for suspension. Pauses are granted at the discretion of Solo management, must be for a minimum of 1 week, and can be used for up to 4 weeks per calendar year. A clear suspension end date must be provided unless otherwise approved, and Members should give at least 2 weeks’ notice where practicable. During a paused period, access to Solo facilities, equipment, and services will be suspended. Pauses are not available for non-recurring memberships.

We will always endeavour to support Members with pauses if we feel it is the right thing for them. We encourage Members to use pauses thoughtfully and for genuine reasons, helping us continue to offer this option sustainably and ensure we can provide high-quality facilities and services for everyone in the future.

TERMINATING MEMBERSHIP

The Member can cancel recurring memberships at any time by emailing Solo management at gemma@solo-thetrainingclub.co.uk. A minimum of 1 month’s notice prior to the Member’s next billing date will need to be given, unless approved otherwise by management. Members who joined Solo before the initiation of these updated Terms and Conditions reserve the right to cancel without providing 1 month’s notice, provided they give at least 3 Solo operating days’ notice to allow sufficient time to process the cancellation.

PRICE CHANGES

We do not anticipate increasing membership prices. In the unlikely event that a price change becomes necessary, members will be given at least one month’s notice before their next billing date.

GUESTS

The Member may request to bring guests to sessions and classes, to be approved at the discretion of the Solo team. All guests must attend alongside the Member. Members’ bookings will always take priority to ensure full access for paying Members. To arrange for a guest to join, the Member should contact Solo front of house in person or via text at +44 7715 323344 in advance to ensure all necessary administrative steps are completed. No guests are permitted to attend if confirmation is not received from the Solo team.

CHECK-INS

The Member can book check-ins via the Solo app, with management or head coach in person or via the Solo contact number at +447715323344. All check-ins will be conducted by Solo management or head coach unless specified otherwise. Solo management and head coach may at times need to re-schedule or cancel appointments, in which case The Member will be notified via text.

COMMUNICATION

All communication between Members and Solo must be conducted through the appropriate channels. For management-related enquiries, the Member should contact Solo management via email at gemma@solo-thetrainingclub.co.uk. For other matters, the Member should contact the Solo contact number at +44 7715 323344. All communication will be responded to promptly during opening hours, usually very quickly, to ensure timely support.

AMENDMENTS TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Solo reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any changes at least 1 month prior to them becoming effective. Members will be notified of updates via the Solo app. Continued use of Solo services after notification of new Terms and Conditions will indicate acceptance of the updated terms.

EFFECTIVE DATE

For New Members: These Terms and Conditions are effective as of 18th September 2025 and apply to all new memberships entered into on or after this date.

For Existing Members: These Terms and Conditions will become effective for existing members on 1st November 2025. Existing members will be notified at least 1 month prior to the effective date via updated Terms and Conditions assigned to their account on the Solo app.
